Argus Fire Variety VehicleThe Argus Team would like to thank you for your sponsorship in this year’s Variety Bash. Your support enabled Argus to be involved and raise funds for the under privileged kids of NZ. The Variety Bash travelled from National Park to Waiouru, then to Waipukurau via Onga Onga; Picton via Wellington; Hanmer via Blenheim; Kaiapoi, and Christchurch before finishing up in Kaikoura. The 2013 Bash fundraising efforts will go towards Variety’s Future Kiwi Kids programme. This helps Kiwi kids reach their full potential through the Gold Heart Scholarship programme, the Variety Voices Youth Choir, and technology and educational grants for children in need. This year the Variety Bash distributed just shy of $72,000 in grants, which included musical and drama equipment for young people in Waiouru; an ipad each for three young girls with special needs, swimming lessons for a boy with Autism; prescriptions glasses for children living with grandparents; clean bedding for families staying at Ronald McDonald House; Laptops to three secondary schools throughout Christchurch; a Sunshine Coach for Birthright Christchurch, sports equipment for a school in Kaikoura; as well as books and friendship seats to schools along the Bash route. Meanwhile Bash teams cleared up the garden at a school in Kaiapoi and made a once unusable BMX track safe for local children. Once again we appreciate your support, and look forward to working with you in 2013. Kind Regards, Bryce Donaldson Argus Fire Systems Service Ltd |
